Waiting, waiting, waiting

Today seems to be a day of waiting. And, in honesty, I am not handling the waiting patiently. I'm waiting for the phone to ring, I am waiting for 2 emails, I am waiting for an application to arrive, and I am waiting for packages from the post office.

Sunday I could not get my internet to work to watch service online, and it was too late for me to drive to church. So, I listened to a sermon I had on CD. It was Bruce Wilkinson, "The Dream Giver." His talk confirmed in my heart that my dream is not just a spiritual high after a great team experience. I indeed have a God-given dream that is bigger than anything I can do on my own, and bound to fail with divine intervention.

Since my return from Haiti, there have been strategic conversations and encounters like this "Dream Giver" talk that have confirmed that it is truly God as work in my heart and in my life. And, I have been tremendously blessed to be surrounded by family and friends who not only support my vision, but have been able to hear my heart and say, "we knew this was going to happen..."
So, a big "pause" in the midst of all of this is frustrating, but I know God is God, and His timing it perfect.
ABBA, Father, help me rest peacefully and be thankful for the time to pause. Let me use the time to sing praises and not to fret or wish time with pass quickly. Let me shine like the stars.
